Lara lebt mit Bill – Liebes-Aus für Eisbär-Knut

Die Braut aus Schalke bekommt einen anderen Lover. Das Rennen hat der 15 Monate alte Bill aus dem tschechischen Brünn gemacht.
Er zieht in den Zoo von Gelsenkirchen und darf mit seiner Eisbär-Frau auf einer 1700-Quadratmeter-Wohlfühlanlage eine Familie gründen.
Bären-Kurator Heiner Klös aus dem Berliner Zoo nahm die Entscheidung sportlich: “Ich freue mich, dass Lara einen guten Partner bekommt”, sagt er.
Die Schalker hatten in der Vergangenheit sogar mit einem “Liebesbrief” von Lara um Knut geworben. Vorbei, die Liebelei.
Die Zukunft von Lara ist eingetütet. Die von Knut gleicht weiter einer Hängepartie.
Bleibt er in Berlin, bleibt er nicht? Wer wird seine Lebensabschnittsgefährtin?
Viele Fragen. Bisher keine eindeutigen Antworten.
Allerdings hat der neue Koordinator für die europäischen Zuchtprogramme mit Eisbären, Janos Szantho, jetzt damit begonnen, sich nach einer Braut für Knut umzuschauen. Mittlerweile wurde in acht europäischen Zoos nachgefragt, welche Bedingungen und welche Partnerin sie Knut zu bieten hätten.
Der Tierpark Neumünster, rechtlicher Eigentümer von Knut, hatte vom Zoo Berlin Details verlangt, in welcher Umgebung der Eisbär mit einer Partnerin zusammenleben soll, wenn er in Berlin bleibt.
Das bisherige Gehege ist mit weniger als 1000 Quadratmetern auf jeden Fall viel zu klein zum Züchten.

Meanwhile in eight European zoos one inquired, which conditions and which partner would have to offer them to Knut. The Tierpark new Muenster, legal owner of Knut, had required of the zoo Berlin detail, in which environment the polar bear with a partner was to live together, if it remains in Berlin. The past enclosure is in any case much too small with less than 1000 square meters for breeding.

Why did they take Lara from Knuti? I am sure Bill is a nice fella but Knuti has pedigree, fame, starpower, good looks, the jute bag, sensitivity, a few hundred mothers-in-laws from around the world – which polar bear girl could have asked for more? Some say Lara was a little too mature for Knuti but she’s a looker with silvery white fur. I guess it is about two ships passing in the night….Why Mr Heiner Klos why? Were you afraid that Knuti would have stolen the limelight from the others?
Celinne, rotfl.. Poor Knuti, gals are taken from him lately, but maybe it’s a good thing because there is somewhere a very special lady bear waiting just for Knuti.
Leaf you are quite correct. With his looks , jute bag and background, he is sure to attract a princess polar bear from France or Sweden. Imagine losing your prospective, exotic gal to a fella called Bill?
I was umm…. wondering if Corinna, Wilbaer’s mama is available? She’s a nice looking “cougar” with some common sense and a down to earth attitude.
Celinne, since you mention about all the mother’s-in-law…whew, maybe it will take a very special lady bear to handle all the mothers-in-law. That would be quite a task!

You are right about Knut needing a strong-willed lady bear to handle the multitude of finicky mamas-in-laws from Berlin to the US and from Brazil to the Caribbean. I can’t speak for the other good ladies but I do know that I am a dragon where my Knuti is concerned. He has already experienced such a tragic loss in his young life. That polar bear lady that wishes to be Knuti’s love, must be up to standard with her decorum, affection, fidelity and cuteness. I don’t know if Corinna, Wilbaer’s mama is in the race to be Knuti’s lady love, but I was impressed with the way she loved and brought up Wilbaer in the public eye. She protected her boy and handled the cameras and public intrusions very well without becoming neurotic and stealing the limelight. Knuti needs a lady like her but I suspect she might be too mature for him. Flocke is cute but such a flirty little thing with Dimitri the Russian charmer (smile).
