A Hump Day with Salmon

Every Wednesday a gentleman fan brings me a fine salmon. What an excellent choice of treat. I must say that I’m a great fan of him as well! He understands that a growing bear needs lots of energy.
I can smell there’s a salmon coming…..
Yippee! What a catch – don’t you agree?
Papa Lars will soon be asking for lessons in salmon catching from me, hihii.
Now what would be a suitable place for a gourmet dinner….
My very own dinner table, of course! You must admit my table manners are those of a man of the world!
What a dinner it was! Just a last lick of the paws and then I will consider having a little nap!
Oh boy, do I love Wednesdays! Now I feel my eyelids are getting very heavy…

Aww…I would know to know more about Knuti’s gentleman fan who brings him a salmon every Wednesday. I am sure Daddy Thomas must be smiling from his world of Light. Look how expertly he catches and relishes the treat. Love is everywhere where Knuti is concerned…everywhere!

It’s good news to his fans that Knuti has Wednesdays to look forward to for a special treat. Such lovely photos of our photogenic bear. I love them all, but particularly when bears sit on their rump with their back paws supporting them ~ and in this case, Knuti savoring the meal by licking his paws. Today Knut received his Wednesday salmon on Tuesday. His friend delivered it today since he will not be able to come to the Zoo tomorrow. Please believe me, Knut loved it anyway!
To answer your questions about the \Wednesday Salmon\, I can tell you this. He is not only a gentleman but also a very nice and gentle man. His name is Wolf and he is a geologist. As so many of us, he and his elderly mother have fallen in love with Knut some time ago and aside from the Wednesday visit, Wolf brings his mother to the Zoo on weekends. It is truly amazing how long they will stand in front of the enclosure and watch every move Knut makes. In all, they are very gracious and delightful people and one can clearly see from the lovely old lady why she has such a nice, softspoken and gentle son.
