Russian arctic scientists need to find a way to quickly save a polar bear’s cub from a fox trap and return him to the mother bear before she attacks.

  1. Dear Karen! The video of the rescue of that little polar bear cub made me cry. Hearing the poor baby crying….I’m so glad the rescue action was succesful. Thank you for sending it and the other news to Knuti’s Weekly.

  2. Karen — Oh my goodness, the sound of the baby polar bear crying was just heartbreaking. I think my blood pressure must have zoomed way up. It was very fortunate for the polar bear family that the Russian team was there and had the courage to attempt the rescue. The team members are true heroes: doing something when you know you could be killed.

    Those 3 little orphaned Yosemite bears look so innocent–noone could possibly accuse them of ever raiding garbage cans, etc. !!!

  3. Karen, Mervi, Sarsam- my heart was pounding watching and listening to the little bear’s screams, it was so heartwrenching, very distressing. Thank God for the bravery of the Russian team. Thank God there are people in this world like that!

    I now look a the lovely little faces of the brother cubs to restore my equilibrium..

  5. I am so glad that the cub is rescud and back with his mom. The screaming of the poor little one is so heardwrenching.I have tears in my eyes.
