Unless my eyes mistake me, the large bird pictured is none other than an Australian kookaburra! (these are the ones that make their loud group call (laugh) at about 5:30 in the morning outside our bedroom window. We love spotting these birds at home, in trees or on the fence, and love to hear them laugh- except at 5:30am.) More beautiful pictures Ulli, danke!
