Video 1: On this video, you can see Kai-Mook one hour after birth. She is trying to stand on her feet, but one and another is not working well yet. You can hear the keepers talking and they say, “it is a girlie” “luckily, because the boy’s name was worth nothing”. Mommy Phyo Phyo is circling around her baby to protect it. One can also hear very well their language. May Tagu (the big sister of 4 years) is nervous and rather aggressive towards this strange new baby.

Video 2: On this video, one can see that May Tagu is really having a hard time to getting used to her new little sissie. She tries to push and to kick Kai-Mook, but mommy Phyo-Phyo and auntie Yu Yu Yin are keeping her away from Kai-Mook. Yu Yu Yin is inspecting the baby with her trunk.

  2. Dear Patricia-
thanks for the lovely videos. I had the impression that Yu Yu Yin is trying to keep the baby in upright position. Hope that May Tagu is getting used to her little sister and that she will love her.
    Have a nice weekend, caren

  3. Hello Patricia — These videos are really interesting. I noticed that just like cats, both ends of the baby are inspected carefully! Thank you so much for sharing these with us and as Mervi says, I hope you keep us up to date on the baby’s progress.
