New videos of Kai-Mook – the ‘lolifantje’

This video is again showing pictures taken shortly after the birth and in the baclground you can hear the keepers talking. Bruno, one of the keepers, is a tad disappointed about Yu Yu Yin, he has expected that she would be more protective for the new baby. But on the other hand, everybody is proud about Phyo Phyo, who is showing that she is a real SUPERMOMMY. But then you will hear a lot of noise again and this means that May Tagu started a new attack on Kai-Mook. You can see very well how she is giving a few kicks. Mommy is of course not pleased. Na ja , after a while, everybody is getting calmer again.
On the photos below, our little Kieksken is one month old and less pink. Kai-Mookie is the mini-mini version of the other female elephants. And most of all, she is also very active and curious. The tree trunks laying in the elephants enclosure are a real challenge to climb on and if they do not comply, then she will climb on May Tagu. Yes, after the first difficult days, they both are now best friends (the same as we know from Berlin). Also, Dumbo is now accustomed to the little girl and only when Kieksen is a tad too wild or around all of a sudden, she will kick her, but no longer like in the beginning. Furthermore, Kai-Mook has also learned to keep a certain distance and to pay a certain respect to Dumbo. And Kai-Mook is sharing her attention and needs between mommy Phyo Phyo and auntie Yu Yu Yin.
Attached are pics from Humo magazine. When you press the CRTL button and click at the same time, you can see the pics. They are very funny and furthermore they also show the secret and forbidden calendar that the keepers wanted to publish in an attempt to get extra money for Kai-Mook and the Zoo.

Your update on Kai-Mookie is much appreciated. What a difference a month makes–from having trouble to just remain standing to crawling over logs! Am I wrong or is that a sweet little smile on her face in photo #3…!!
