Herewith a little video of our lolifantje. It isn’t so easy for a baby elephant to step on the scales …. After trying many times and with lots of love and fruit and patience, she made it. And she now weights 284 kg (!!!). Well done, Kai-Mook!

What a lovely video! Well, sometimes it certainly takes a lot of patience to be a zoo keeper – but of course, what job could be more rewarding? Our lolifantje is so sweet!!!!

Your lolifantje is very cute. It looks very round and does not need the scales. With its long russel it can fetch all fruits from the scales. It was very nice of lolifantle to go on the scale.

Congratulations to Kai-Mook for getting on the scales! She sure is a cute lolifantje! As Ludmila points out, she did not have to get on the scales to get the fruit so she did it because the keepers were asking her to do it. By getting on the scales themselves (and seeing her mother on them) they demonstrated the scales would not hurt a little lolifantje.
Thanks for keeping us updated Patricia–my knusband is a great fan of elephants and has been enjoying your reports too!
