Mixed feelings

Hello fans! How time flies – it’s already August! I have always liked autumn but I will meet this autumn with mixed feelings. On the 22nd of September it will be exactly one year since my Daddy had to leave me. I miss him so much – I would like him to be ehere and see what a gorgeous, clever bear I am today. Well, I’m sure he sees me anyway and hopefully is very proud of his little Knuti. I’m also a very brave bear so I try not to be sad but cherish all the wonderful memories in my heart.
People say I’m looking more and more like papa Lars. I must say I’m very proud of my beautiful beard – it makes me look like a man of the word. What do you think?
This Aussie Dog really is a stubborn thing! I’m inclined to believe it’s not from Australia but from Finland. You know how stubborn the Finns are – just look at Auntie Mervi, hihii…..
Hmm, it looks very promising now….
I’ll give it another try….
Oh my, that ‘thingie’ really makes me tired!
Anybody there? Good – it makes me feel secure to know my fans are my guardian angels – in case it should be thunderstorm.

I’m already very excited about my monthly birthday on the 5th of September! I’ve heard rumours that my fans are coming from all over the world to celebrate with me.
I have to look really good when my fans arrive – not that it’s any problem, hahaa….if you know what I mean.
I’m King Knuti sitting on my thron. I guess I have to practice a little to get a really majestetic look. As you all know I can wave with my paw better than Queen Elizabeth! I know – the Queen calls her ‘waving aid’ a hand….how funny is that??!!
Hasn’t Auntie Doris taken beautiful photos of me? Here I am admiring the August moon.
That’s all for now, friends. You’d better start packing and checking that you have the hotel vouchers, railway/airline tickets, euros and the most important thing – your annual zoo tickets ready!

Do not worry, Knuti, Daddy Thomas will always be with you–you only have to open your mind and heart to him, and he will be there for you. I am sure he is very proud of you for the handsome, intelligent and adaptable bear you have become. I am also sure he agrees with me that you are even more handsome than Papa Lars. Yes, many, many of your friends from all over the world are coming to your birthday party on September 5. And many of those friends will be carrying suitcases filled with hugs and kisses from the friends (like me) who are unable to come to Berlin. You are going to have a great birthday with lots of treats…enjoy!!

Dear Jessie, Doris, & Mervi –
From the tiny, cute-as-a-button bear to the now teen-age polar bear, Knut continues to grow ever more handsome and pleasing in the eyes of his beholders. The photos b-e-a-r it out. When Gianna arrives, she will be pleasantly surprised! Knut, on the other hand, may find a diversion to playing with toys!
Looking forward to reports from the September 5 BD celebration, lending moral support to those close to Thomas and honoring his memory. I so wish I could be there.
