A foggy day with grey bears in Orsa

Hello, I hope you don’t think I’m sending too many photos nowadays. I’m just so happy to have a new camera!

Here are some pictures from Sunday. It was very foggy and Wilbär and Ewa had made themselves extra handsome by rolling on the ground in the woods. It was difficult to see them in the fog. None of them wanted to go swimming so they looked filthy all day …. but so gorgeous and cute!

There should be colder weather coming towards the end of the week. We have tested the snowgun and everythings ready – we’re just waiting for the winter.

Our bears found the sound of the snowgun somewhat scaring at first but after a while they went closer to examine it, stood on their hind legs, looked at it as if they were saying: ‘What are you waiting for – give us some snow!’

Wilbär is heading to his favourite stone in the pond.

Both bears should have needed a bath this day. Ewa in her new fur makeup wasn’t interested in swimming….

… she just visited the ‘bar’ and had a sip of water.

Wilbär is lying on his favourite stone….

…playing a little but only wetting his paws – no swimming here either!

Today seems to be a lazy day, not so many visitors on a day like this – especially when we can hardly be seen.

Wilbär is  playing peek-a-boo with the visitors thinking: ‘Maybe they don’t see me if I cover my face with the paws. I’m trying to learn how to make myself invisible just like the polar bear cubs in the wilderness make themselves invisible in the snow.’

Greetings from Pernilla, Ewa and Wilbär

  1. Dear Pernilla,

Thank you once again for the lovely greetings from Orsa! Let me tell you that there are NEVER too many photos of our wonderful Wilbär and Ewa! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the snow flakes start falling down soon.

    Hugs from Mervi

  2. Dear Pernilla, I am so grateful that you continue to bring us news about Wilbar and Ewa. And indeed, with or without their special make-up, they both look gorgeous. And of course, there must be a “lazy bear day” every now and then. We, humans, also do enjoy our weekends, so polar bears are entitled to choose whatever day for that purpose. And indeed, there are never toomany pictures, so, please do not hesitate to test your new camera (the more, the better for us!!). I am already looking forward to your report and pics of the two youngsters rolling and playing in the snow.
    Kind regards,
    Patricia
