Happiness Delirium – Part 1

2009 begin with a great expectation, I promise myself: this year I am going to Berlin! It is decided! Eight months of preparations: physical exercises, cares with the health, economy, how to support 15 hours of flight and 2 of airport without smoking? Abandoning the addiction. It is done. Everything is ready and it arrives the great day: I am anxious and with fear of the flight, when the airplane lifts I closed my eyes and I can feel a great white paw holding my hands and I am calm. The whole fear of the landing is substituted by the hope of seeing the zoo of the window of the airplane. I step in Berlin as who enters in the Paradise.
How to sleep and to wait until the following morning?
September 4, do I get off the meter and I sight Annemarie and Yeo that wait for me in the door of the zoo, how to greet them? The Latins like me are smooching, has the habit of to hug and to kiss and they told me that the Europeans just extend them hand, great lie!
They are so many hugs… we entered in the zoo, Annemarie and Roney stopping to see the rhinoceros,Oh!
NO! I want to see Knut!!!!! Let´s go!!!! When I was near of the enclosure, somebody screams – Luisa! My heart stop, so many faces that I knew only of the PC´s screen! Did I enter in PC? I look at the stones and…THERE IT IS HIM: lying, calm, beautiful. Suddenly I am not one more lady, my 53 years disappear and I become a child, impossible to contain the tears.
So many hugs, gifts, emotions. My internal child takes care of me. The happiness and the ecstasy take care of me, I am face to face with Mervi, Judy, Bea, Baby, Steff….

HE IS BEAUTIFUL, FANTASTIC, I AM IN LOVE!!
I run to see the feeding of the big ones: Lars is enormous and the ladies are pure charm
I can see them for the glass, so close:
Back to Knut. I don’t want to be behind the camera, limited, I want to look everything, I leave for Roney and the photo aunts (my idols) the capture of the best moments, I have everything saving in my mind – such special moments that I will never forget.
The feeding of Knut is a party to the part and all are very gentile with me, giving up the best place for me not to lose anything (Thank you Angelina, Vesa, etc…)
Is Knut smiling?
I am going with the friends to know the zoo, it is a place beautiful, clean, with healthy animals and very cares. In the way I see a small squirrel, he seems of plush and all laugh at my enthusiasm, after all squirrels are in the garden of all, but I had never seen an and carrying a baby.
I ate lunch – Fried potatoes and Currywurst delicious, hummmmmm
We went back to Knut and the friends and the afternoon run without I notice, soon it is time of the encounter in Joe´s, bye, bye Knut I return tomorrow.
The party is very cheerful, all are pure happiness and I have the honor of to be photographs for the lenses of Viktor (the blue man) and I have fun with the instantaneous blog and the messages of Leaf and f the friends that could not be there.
Also I meet other friends and to Berliner Weisse mt Schuss, that I hope is always in Die Knuipe’s menu.
I am one of the last to leave, I don’t want to sleep, I don’t want to wake up of this dream….

How I enjoyed your report from Berlin. Every word bubbles of joy – just like champagne! We had such a good time together hadn’t we? Now you know, too, how it feels to meet our Knuti ‘live’ – and it feels just the same every time I visit him. I hope we can meet again!

My sweet Brazilian Lady, what a lovely report from the first day in Zoo. And yes, I can fully understand the feelings when one is seeing Knut for the first time. I still remember that I simply stood there watching him and feeling so grateful that finally I could see him with my own eyes. And yes again, he is a beautiful young animal. And again yes again, it is such a joy to enter that Zoo and to meet all these people again. Believe me, even after so many times, it is never boring.
