Dear Friends! Yesterday really was a long and exhausting day – but oh, so filled with joy and excitement! I have understood that the big, white, fluffy thing isn’t a new toy but another polar bear! Isn’t that wonderful?
Well, my days as a bachelor are over now. This is a whole new situation for me and as you understand I’m very confused – but also very curious.
Hihii…. we have at least one thing in common. We both like colourful makeup!
White, fluffy and roundish – just I like the ladies!!!
I really must think of which strategy to use. Shall I share my toys with her or should I hide some of them?
She’s getting closer…..I don’t think she looks so dangerous but I’d better be on my guard anyway.
Why is she yelling at me? Doesn’t she know I’m a nice guy?
I think I’d better take time out….
Auntie Sylvia and Onkel Ronny were watching over us. How I wish Daddy could be here and see his little Knuti now!
This sand throne is mine and I’m going to defend it!!
I’m so TIRED! I’m having a nap now and I really hope noboby interrupts me!
I think I have behaved very well – don’t you agree? Please, keep your fingers crossed that today’s date will be even more successful.

Very sweet and perfect interpretation of Knut’s thoughts. I am so very, very proud of him, he is doing a great job of getting to know Gianna. His Daddy must be very proud of him too and also proud of the way Ronnie and Sylvia are handling this situation.

Oh, it is great to have these updates and photos. I love the photo of Sylvia and Ronny looking at the teenagers to make sure all goes well. Isn’t Knuti’s beard cute? He grew it just in time to meet Giovanna. Gio looks much thinner than before. Knut is so cool and collected and all credit must go to him..after all it is his digs that is being invaded by a bossy but beautiful babe.
Daddy Thomas would be so proud of his gentleness and chivalry. But then apples never fall far from the tree.

Dear, poor, shy Knuti is just not sure what to do around a self-assured polar bear lady. He’s not had the opportunity to run, roll, bite, snog and be rascally with either a sibling nor another polar bear. He must be having conflicted ideas of his time with Daddy and now his new, much-delayed time with another bear. I have very deep hopes for his eventual adjustments, and if Gianna doesn’t make his approval (she is going home in 1 year), well I say, Flocke is still waiting in the wings. Perhaps a younger female will be more to his liking. Also, Flocke seems to have a much different disposition.
What seems to be apparent is Knut’s following interest in Gianna and seeming loss of interest in his toys.

this is such a lovely story about Knut at the beginning of his dating with Bella Giovanna. Both are very curious to get to know each other but thay are very uncertain how to start. But they will learn and in a few days they will enjoy the presence of each other.

we are ALL watching over you and caring for you and how you are doing. You are being so good, so careful, so sweet. This cannot be too easy for you but I believe you are up for the challenge! We all must go through experiences where we are called to rise above our usual comfort zone. This seems to be one of those times for you. You are doing a great job..hang in there!

I can only agree full heartedly: You know YOUR bear!
Yesterday I saw the two of them, Knuti and Gianna/GIOvanna (I still don’t know what will be the appropriate name for her!), together in real life for the first time. It was undescribeable, and, just as ChristinaM told about herself, I myself was also smiling (at least inside) for the complete rest of the day. Were I a little bit more quick, I would have written already kind of a zoo report yesterday. Should you be interested, I possibly will tell you my impressions in the weekend; however, I think the pics of the various photographers are already speaking for themselves and there are also quite sufficiant reports in written. We’ll see.
