A hard day’s night

Hello folks! Sometimes in the evening I look back and think of all the things that happened during the day. I guess you do that, too. I must confess I’m a very lucky bear and often I have to pinch my paw to convince myself that I’m not dreaming.
Since a couple of months I have a playmate in my enclosure – a beautiful bear girl called Gianna.
It took some time before it said ‘click’ but wow, what a click it was!!!
We love to fool around together. She’s now allowed to play with my toys and we have a little competition. Who will manage to break that Aussie dog…. Quite a challenge!
We also love to pose for all the knutographers who come to visit us. You should hear allt he ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ when they admire me and my gorgeous girlfriend.
- Soon it will be feeding time again. Would you like to share my lunch? Because I’m still a growing bear I need lots of calories but you can have the lettuce and the carots….
- That’s very generous of you but let me remind you, dear friend, that I’m a growing bear, too!
- Let’s surprise the keepers and the visitors and share everything!
- May I have this dance? They are playing Polar Bear Boogie.
- I prefer bearleston – it’s so fun but, of course, it makes one very exhausted.
- Oh dear, just the thought of bearleston makes me want to have a nap!
- Hey, are those paw prints on your back mine? Not that I’m jealous but I really don’t want you to meet other girls!
What a girl she is!!!!
I’m sure you understand that after a busy day like this I sleep like a knuby and dream happy dreams.

Dear Friends –
It’s happening ~ unfolding at its own pace ~ these 2 bears are really into each other. With a 3rd birthday on the horizon, this pairing could not be a better gift to Knuti, to the loyal fans visiting in person and the lag-behinds peering in on the internet. I have every confidence that Knut is making the polar-world transition with his new companion Giovanna. He’s still a wee bit tentative, but hey, Gia’s a somewhat demanding polar bear girl. A big shout-out to Dr. B and all the other personnel who arranged this match.

Thank you so much for the wonderful photos and conversation of Knut and Gianna. What a delightful couple they are! “May I have this dance? They are playing Polar Bear Boogie” is hilarious as is Gianna worrying about the paw prints on Knut’s back!! Don’t tell me–we have another Corinna in the making??

Wow. I have no words, but say that I am completely happy seeing Knuti in love, and loved back.
Finally. Is the word. I am still clearing my eyes from time to time to make sure I am not dreaming.

Verschiedenstes hielt uns vom PC fern, als es dann aber endlich losgehen sollte in de Geburtstagsvorbereitungen hat die Harddisk schlapp gemacht…Nun muss ich erstmal die vergangenen Tage Revue passieren lassen….Wie schön glaich auf solche Fotos von Gianna und Knut zu stoßen…
