Generous keepers

In many zoos throughout the world the keepers wanted to make their animals happy by giving them Christmas presents. Here are some examples:

Polar bear Pike in San Fransisco thought unwrapping gifts was exhausting….. (AP)

In Melbourne the lady gorilla Yuska was happy about her presents. (EPA)

These cangoroos in Sydney were very happy about these bags containing fruit and nuts. (AP)

    Dear Mervi, just discovered this article. THANK YOU !!! Isn’t it wonderful and heartwarming to see how much loving care is given to the animals in zoos? And what I like the most is the curious faces of the animals. They make me think of children. Na ja, most probably, we adults are looking the same way while unwrapping our presents.

    Mervi – This is great! It is truly heart-lifting to see how much some keepers put into their jobs. It does put an extra sparkle in the season for me.

    Dear Mervi, This is really wonderful! Thank you! What a heartwarming sight to see all the efforts the keepers go to for their charges. The penguins looking at their presents is absolutely hilarious–you’re right Mervi, they probably are glad to see such a small polar bear!! :-)
