Because our editor in chief comes from Finland I wanted to say ‘Merry Christmas’ in Finnish. You must admit I’m a very nice, thoughtful bear but of course, you already knew that! There’s a good chance we’re having a white Christmas in Bärlin this year – please, keep your fingers crossed. That would be the best Christmas gift for us polar bears.
There’s so much I want to tell you and so much I want to thank you for but I think I will tell you all about it in my new year’s speech. Gianna and I wish you all a Merry, White Christmas! Please, remember that Christmas is supposed to be a time for meeting your love ones, to enjoy the Christmas tree, the candlelight and last but not least the good, yammy food so don’t make too much fuss about it. If you can’t manage to ‘do everything’ just don’t! Christmas will be here anyway!
Wilbär and Ewa have also sent you a lovely card. They are the lucky ones to have snow during the whole winter season but I’m not envious – Gianna and I are very happy in our enclosure in Bärlin.

Dear Friends,
Yes, the year-end is a good time to pay tribute to our lovely host, Ms. Mervi, who tirelessly toils to bring us updated news about da bears whom we seek such voracious knowledge. If I speak for myself, I believe others echo that this is a primo destination for losing one’s cares, taking an interest in those things which are very important. We sincerely hope that Ms. Mervi will continue to host stories about our beloved bears.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely holiday season and is looking forward to 2010. My thoughts: It can only get better.
