Urs and Berna – the Swiss beaurties

The lovely bear cubs in Bern have now got their names – Urs and Berna. It’s impossible for me to tell who is who – your guess is as good as mine! One thing’s for sure – the Mama Bear won’t be out of job taking care of these two rascals. Thank you, Sarah, for posting the link! Greetings from Mervi

    What enticing photos of the bear cub twins! It looks as if they both are wearing fur necklaces! Wonder if this attribute will fade or remain as they mature. They are destined for great fun. Thank you!

    Dear Sarah and Mervi
    I wonder too why this little nice cups has this white fur around the necks. the russian little brown bears in Bern, Mischi and Mascha have’nt. Perhaps Urs and Berna are born for white collar jobs!!!
    Yesterday at swiss TV was a dokumentation film “knut, flocke and co.” about the question why to hold bears at zoos. It is to draw peoples attention to the problems of this animals and the destruction of their environment. There were (old) pics of our bears learning to walk etc.. I was affected.
