Troll had a funny visitor from Holland

In Dezember besuchte ich das Tierpark im Osten von Berlin. Meine erste Schritte führten natürlich nach den Eisbären. Ich hoffte Aika und Tonya zu sehen. Und, wie ich lernte, wenn man etwas zusehr hofft, kann das Gehirn seltsame Tricks machen. Weil ich für eine Stunde in Tierpark wirklich dacht, das ich nach Aika und Tonya schaute, lernte ich später das es an Land nicht Aika, sonst Troll war, und ins Wasser nicht Tonya, sonst Aika!
Auf meine Bilder von Troll kannt ihr sehen, das er oft ein bisschen komisch guckt. Kann das vielleicht sein, weil ich immer “Aika!” zu ihm rief!? Von Troll ist bekannt das er nach seine Name hört (wenn er will). Also – so nehm ich an – hört er es auch, wenn man eine falsche Name ruft.
Wenn sie könnten, hätten Troll und Aika herzlich gelachen um diese komische Besucher aus Holland!
In december I visited the Tierpark in the eastern part of Berlin. My first steps led me of course in the direction of the polar bears. I hoped to see Aika and Tonya. And as I learned, when you want something very much, your mind can play funny tricks on you. In the Tierpark, for over an hour I really thought I was looking at Aika and Tonya. It wasn’t until later that I learned that it was not Aika on land, but Troll, and not Tonya in the water, but Aika!
On my pictures of Troll you can see, that often he looks a bit quizzical. Could that perhaps be so because I repeatedly shouted “Aika!” to him!? It is well known that Troll listens to his name (when he wants to). Therefore – so I take it – he also hears it when he is called by a wrong name.
If they could, Troll and Aika would have had a good laugh about that funny visitor from Holland!

I’m sure Troll has ‘overlooked’ your mistake even if he seems to be quite amused….
Once again I wonder who can claim animals have no facial expressions!

TROLL, Du bist so ein klasse TYP! Wie schade, dass das mit Dir und den GGs unten in Charlottenburg nicht geklappt hat. Ich glaube, Du und die GGs TOSCA, NANCY und KATJUSCHI sowie wir ollen Besucher hättet/hätten sehr viel Spaß aneinander! Hat nich sollen sein. Such is life!

Danke für eure nette Kommentare. Ich kennte Troll nur von das schreckliche Zusammenführungsversuch. Jetzt habe ich auch gesehen, das hinten seinen etwas grimmiges Gesicht ein freundliches altes Tier sitzt.
Thank you for your nice comments. I only knew Troll from the terrible mixing trial. Now I have seen, that behind his more or less grimm face a friendly old animal can be found.
