What a great pleasure it is to wish you a very happy birthday again. Your friends in Hellabrunn have been busy making plans for your special day…..
Two great minds is better than only one ….. Oh boy, we are thinking hard! In our opinion the best way to celebrate a birthday is to eat well, drink well and sleep well. Giovanna, of course, has different ideas.
Dear Bernd, don’t you listen to those two lazy guys! Let’s go skiing but first we must do some exercises to make our muscles work. Just do as I do and I guarantee you’ll be skiing like Dario Cologna!
All that talk about stretching and skiing makes me so exhausted – and thirsty! I hope you will join me and take a sip or two of the good Bavarian beer.
Well, maybe Giovanna and I have different ideas about sporting but we have at least one thing in common. We love you, Uncle Bernd and we are always so glad to meet you here in Hellabrunn. Thank you for making such lovely videos of us.

Happy Birthday, Uncle Bernd! It’s me – little Ludde. I wanted to go skiing with you, too but it’s so difficult to find proper skis. I ordered a pair from an Internet shop but they are much too small for me. Besides – don’t you think that an elephant needs a ski for his trunk as well? I’m asking you because you know more about Winter sports than I do.
Happy birthday wishes from Malmö. We’ve made a king size Apfelstrudel for you and we are watching it very carefully so our ‘people’ don’t pinch it. They are quite gluttaneous and not to be trusted when it comes to yammy pastries! Maybe you would prefer coffee to go with the Apfelstrudel but we have beer, too….

Happy Birthday wishes from Orsa to Munich! We have already started the celebration with a picknick in the snow. The basket is filled with all kinds of delicious food and a bottle of cod liver oil…. just kidding, we’ve got the finest French champagne for you. Although we don’t understand why the humans prefer champagne to cod liver oil. Sometimes you have such a funny taste…. Of course, we have a birthday gift for you, too but so far it’s a secret!

I am pretty sure, you – being an experienced skiing instructor for extreme cases – will get the group downhill save and sound and above all COMPLETE.

Dear Mervi,
it was a big and wonderful surprise to find this nice birthday page. Although we had passed “der alte Fritz” only on Saturday we did not realize that Yoghi had joined him. They are both looking very traditional
Yoghi reaching his tongue for all the different kind of beers is hilarious. I hope some drops will be left for me.
Giovanna and myself are well prepared for a skiing tour. I hope little “Ludde” will be able to accompany us even to Orsa. I guess Wilbär and Ewa are very good racing downhill. The snow in Orsa looks very inviting.
Mimmi and Nalle are very well educated (thanks to their owners) and they haven’t touched the “Apfelstrudel” yet. I have never tried “Apfelstrudel” together with beer before but I can imagine it will be a very interesting mixture.
I was also very surprised to see Yoghi and Giovanna outside their enclosure in the visitors’ area. I am looking forward to a great skiing tour. Of course, I will take photos and another movie for KWM as it is a grat pleasure to publish my little videos here.
