Siku has moved to his own enclosure

The polar bear cub Siku has today been moved to his own enclosure in Skandinaviske Dyreparken i Kolind, Denmark.

    Dear Mervi !

    Thanks to you and Knuti-Judi this wonderful news is also available here. Siku is a very cute little boy, he looks even smaller in the large enclosure. At the moment his walking seems to be most supported by the front wheel drive :D

    danke für die neuen, sehr süßen Bilder von Siku.
    Das Video ist natürlich auch super. Wie Siku sich im Gras wälzt mit dem Grasbüschel im kleinen Schnäuzchen, ist einfach zu niedlich.

    Thank you (and thank Knuti Judi) for this new report on Siku-DK! He looks so small in his enclosure, especially seeing the two grown polar bears watching him…… Thank goodness “Daddy” is there with him!! Siku-DK is one lucky polar bear cub…..

    Dear Knuti-Judi, dear Mervi,

    Thank you for posting this great video of Siku-Dk, the little Viking boy exploring his amazing enclosure. And he is even admired by his kind: wonder what the two grown polars were thinking as they watched him move.
    This cub sure is lucky and so is his dad to be near this bundle of joy.

    Wonderful pictures and video of little Siku.
    Yes, little Siku was too wild to have indoors in the house, so he is now in his own enclose with an indoorarea and a big big outdoor area = the size of a football area. He lives side by side with his father and uncle. In about 2 years he shall be with them. But he must not be afraid of them, and they must not be agressive towards him. It does not matter, if it takes more than two years. He is with a person from the staff in nights in his indoorarea.
    He is really enjoying his big outside – enclosure.
