Dear deers and wolverine yoga in Ranua

The lovely polar bear cub in Ranua has stolen our hearts but there are lots of sweet animals in this zoo. The early Spring in northern Finland isn’t green but shining white.

However, the animals seem to feel there’s Spring in the air now and they know it’s time for a season change.

What has caught this birdie’s attention?

Two sweet deers were extremely dear to each other this day.

Isn’t this sweet!

The dholes heard something ….

Even this bird was listening …..

Hurry, let’s see what’s going on!

Malla and Jemma were enjoying yammy snacks when they were interrupted by something.

What to do? Of course, the brownies were curious and what’s could be a better watching tower than a high tree! 🙂

Here’s the cause of the ‘hullabaloo’. The wolverine was screaming ….

Hello fellow animals! It’s time for my yoga session and I want you to admire me!

This is what I call ‘cool your head’ exercise.

Then some tail waves to you …..

…. and now it’s time for yoga!

It IS allowed to enjoy a snack between the exercises!!

My speciality is to combine yoga and cleaning my fur! No wonder, they call me the master of inventions!

Here we go again!

Of course, I mustn’t forget to wave my paws to the audience.

OK, that was all for today. Now it’s time for the finishing stretching. See you at the same time tomorrow?

The lynx wasn’t impressed at all by the wolverine’s performance.

That stupid wolverine makes such a fuss of his yoga. I’m a beautiful cat and I don’t have to do anything to catch everybody’s attention. I simply am amazingly adorable!!

  1. Dear Mervi, dear Marko!
Again you brought us marvellous pics from the still winterly Ranua Zoo.
I can´t say which I like best: the sweet kissing deers, the beautiful raven with his shimmering feathers, the wolverine´s funny yoga lesson – who had to cool his head in the snow before – or the beauty care of the gorgeous lynx.
Since I love bears dearly I think my favorites are the brownies in the tree. They are true explorers, curious and fun loving the same time – and they look simply magnificent!
Thank you for this sunday morning pleasure!

    Hugs
    Anke

  2. Liebe Mervi,

  6. Dear Mervi and Dear Marko, HIHIHIHI! This was really hilarious but nevertheless, the wolverine gave a great show and I think that the lynx was just a bit jealous of all the attention the wolverine got.

  7. Dear MERVI, these are indeed again most beautiful pictures of happy snow-addicted animals in this RANUA-fairy-tale -winter-landscape in spring!

The birdie is so lovely. Do you know which kind of bird this is?
The deer indeed are very dear ones!
Curious bears what kind soever are always an as most interesting as lovely sight!
Again you found funny subtitles for the wolverines yoga-/gymnastics-exercises!

Thank you very much. As usual it was a pleasure to watch and read!

  8. Dear Mervi
Marko’s photos show just what a magical place Ranua is. I love the wolverine, as rather like the
honey badger, he is really very dangerous but looks so cute.

  9. Ranua ist immer noch ein Winterwunderland.
Der Vielfraß macht schöne Gymnastik. 😉
