Happy second birthday, ARON!
Nov 25th, 2018 | By mervi | Category: Birthdays26.11.2018 by Evi from Tallinn
ARON – the second cub of Friida and Nord, the little brother of Nora – was born in November 26th 2016.
An interesting fact: The name Aron is ‘Nora’ if you read it backwards!
Unlike Nora Aron was a very calm little cub: he didn’t climb on the bars, he even swam rarely, he often playd with his mother. Everything changed after the move to the new Polarium.
Aron and his mother Friida moved to the new place on September 25th 2017 – Aron was 10 months old.
Spacious enclosure, big and deep swimming pool, soft ground and green grass – all was new and very interesting. Aron started swimming and playing and diving in the deep pool.
Aron likes his audience – he often swims and dives near the glass. The visitors are excited – they make selfies with him. 🙂
Often he swims and plays for a long time, gets tired and just falls asleep.
Aron lives together with her mother, Friida. They often play together, but sometimes their playing seems to be as a fighting. I think, that mother Friida teaches Aron to his independent life.
Aron enjoys playing with the different toys. This is his new toy – my birthday gift to him.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LITTLE BEAR!
Happy birthday wishes to Aron even from Mervi
IT’S BEEN SNOWING IN TALLINN TODAY – ON ARON’S BIRTHDAY. PERFECT TIMING! The videos are from today:
Dear EVI – That’s again an as informative, as interesting, as lovable contribution of yours in ‘KWM’.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARON!
Ah – I never would have noticed that ARON is NORA = letters the other way round!
Perfect names for siblings as to my taste and in addition they are short and such easy to remember
(please remind me of this staement when I ask you ‘who is NORA?’ or ‘who is ARON?’ which is always possible with my bad memory. Grey material: Adios!).
It’s interesting to get to know how not only human beings but also animals can change their behaviour considerably or even completely depending of their surrounding/home/the possibilities that are offered by their environment etc.
For sure you spend a lot of time, money and LOVE to your beloved polar bears. They are lucky to have an ‘auntie’ like you (as several of other bears can due to their generous ‘friend-fans’ in our neighborhood).
Your report with the lovely photos and two nice videos as well as MERVI’s collage were my ‘Betthupferl’ tonight. Thanks to the both of you – and GOOD NIGHT to EVERYONE.

At that occasion I would also like to say from here:
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” to two other lovelies in our polar bear world:
– HOPE, daughter of FLOCKE and RASPI (Rasputin, Raspoutine) in Antibes/FRANCE who gets 4 today
and
– EWA, who gets 13, in Orsa/SWEDEN today. She is the ‘fiancée’ of our beloved WILBÄRle*
(* son of much loved ANTON and CORINNA who both unfortunately went over the rainbowbridge already )
Dear Evi!
Thank you for the wonderful pictures from Tallinn.
Aron is a very playfull young bear. It is a joy to watch him playing with the different toys. He has a wonderful mother, who likes to play too.
Hugs
Ludmila
Dear Evi
Thank you for this wonderful photo album of Aron. He was such a sweet cub and is now an impressive young Polar Bear.
Since Aron has got used to the excellent new Polarium, could I leave a thought with you. If he cannot be found a place with facilities as good as this, I am sure that he would be welcome at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
He would be sure of a welcome from Nobby and Nissan.
All the best
Ralph
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ARON!
Dear Evi!
Your photos and videos of Aron are simply smashing!
I loved especially your underwater pics and the pics with the tube.
Aron is a vivid, fun-loving and beautiful young polar bear.
I wish him and all the other birthday kids among the polar bears a wonderful birthday and lots of fun.
I hope they all will be spoiled with some extra yummy food on their special day.
Dear Mervi!
Your collage with this handsome guy and the robin is wonderful!
Hugs
Anke
Dear Evi
Aron has grown a lot since last year.
He had the privilege to use the new
enclosure for the first time. Tallin
Zoo has built a nice environment.
I like the underwater shots. 🙂
Greetings
Chris 🙂
Happy Birthday, kleiner Aron!!!
Monika
What a nice birthday gift – the first snow in
Tallin! Thank you for the new videos, Evi. 🙂
Liebe Evi,
Britta-Gudrun
Dear Britta- Gudrun,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand your question well.
Do you mean the distribution of the polar bears’ territory?
There are 2 big enclosures: one is for Nord and the other one for Friida and Aron, who still live together.
With the best wishes
Evi
Liebe Evi,
genau das wollte ich wissen, also zwei Gehege – vielen Dank!
Liebe Grüße
Britta-Gudrun
Liebe Evi,
Thank you, Dear All, for your so kind comments!
Special thanks, of course, to Mervi!
Aron is really an impressive Polar Bear now!
He loves playing and he was so excited of his new toys, that he got for his birthdauy.
He played all the day – even didn’t notice the little snow fell down.
Mother Friida enjoyed very much the fresh snow.
I made a short video of that, too:

With the best wishes,
Evi
Thank you very much, dear EVI, for this additional VIDEO of ‘Mother FRIIDA in Snow Heaven’!
It’s always special fun, yes even sometimes feels like ‘luck’, to see polar bears showing they feel at ease by rolling on the floor – may it be in mud, in the ‘Mulch’ or best of all S N O W!
