Polar bear Lynn has given birth to two cubs on the 1st of December. The other cub died soon after birth but the other one is still alive.

Lynn came to Copenhagen from Tiergarten Schönbrunn last Winter. The father is Nord who came to Copenhagen from Russia.

Here’s a short video of Lynn and her cub. I hope I will have more information soon.

  1. I wish Lynn and her baby best of luck and hope to meet them both in the Spring!

    Stay healthy, little cubbie!

  3. I am really happy to get to know these lucky news also from Copenahgen.

I am especially extremely happy for LYNN that she has a ‘little family’ of her own, as I felt kind of pity with her, when she had to go = to leave ‘Tiergarten SCHÖNBRUNN’ and RANZO in order to give way to NORA (fine to know that this couple NORA & RANZO seem to be happy together at least!).

What a miracle again and again it is to see those huge mothers caring so tenderly for their extremely tiny babys!

Take care! the both of you, Mama LYNN and BABY! – and everybody around as well . . .

Fingers are crossed without further noise, such Mama and child will not be disturbed! 🙂

  4. Dear Mervi!
That must have been a surprise for a lot of people…
Best wishes for Lynn and her baby!
I keep my fingers crossed for the little one.

  5. Dear Mervi and Inge
    From Russia with Love
Nord and Wolodja have both produced cubs. We will all be hoping that these little miracles fight their way through. But the sight of a mother Polar and cub at Christmas is something so wonderful.

  6. Dear Mervi, and again good news. I wish Lynn and her baby all the best. Na ja, actually, it is very sad that the second one died because in the video, one can see and hear them both. But we all know how frail these little polar bears are.

  7. Liebe Mervi,
