Lynn’s baby is growing rapidly. The keepers estimate that the cubbie now weighs about 10 kilos. That’s 20 times the weight when the baby was born on the 1st of December!

Mama, I feel like hugging!

Of course, the baby’s demand is mama’s command! 🙂

  1. Dear Mervi!
Lynn´s baby bear is adorable and so frisky as one could wish.
Lynn is a sweet and caring young mother and does everything quite right considering it is the first time for her to be a mother.
You must be very excited to see Ranzo´s former girlfriend and her little one with your own eyes soon.
I wish them both best of luck!

  2. Thanks for showing dear Mervi, the little one is so charming, and mother and baby were admired from a lots of visitors today in the fine weather.
    Hugs from Copenhagen

  8. Dear Mervi and Inge

I was fortunate to see a lot of Lynn and her cub on Tuesday 12 March and again on Saturday 16 March.

I noticed how much smaller the cub looks in real life and in my phone photos than in the zoo issued shots. However, size is not everything. My reports will show an active and outgoing cub, not afraid to stare out at the visitors. Lynn did on one occasion move her by carrying her as in the photo above, but for most of the time she was relaxed and allowed the little one to explore the enclosure.

At the moment there is no water in the enclosure itself, and there is plenty of straw to allow the little one to nestle down. It is not clear when the cub will have access the water. Perhaps inside the den?
