Nora and Ranzo in slow motion

Oct 7th, 2019 | By | Category: Nora and Ranzo in Vienna

7.10.2019 by Evi from Tallinn

I visited NORA & RANZO in the second week of September. It was still quite warm in Vienna – +23 … +27 degrees.

My fluffy friends didn’t show themselves very often … and I never knew, when they decided to do that.

The bears were moving in slow motion. Mostly they were either sitting or lying down.

NORA liked to pose lovely.

Sometimes she played slowly with the toys …

…. or the reed.

RANZO came out rarely and only watched around.

They jumped into the water maybe 2 – 3 times during the 8 long days I was there.

They both did that, when they got the watermelons. When the fish were thrown into the water, they didn’t hurry to get wet.

The beautiful Nora

  1. Dear Mervi and Evi
These photos of Ranzo and Nora are really beautiful and could almost have been taken in the wild, as the surroundings look like the tundra in Canada.
Thank you for bringing them to us. I hope you found time to enjoy some of the other pleasures of Vienna, but like me you may well have wanted to spend as much time as possible with the Polars

  2. Dear Mervi,

Thank you so much for publishing this lovely article!
I also would like to share a video of ‘my’ happy, but a bit tired NORA,
    who likes to pose ….

    Have a beautiful October!

  3. Dear Evi!
Thank you for these wonderful photos from the nearly most attractice polar bear love couple in an European zoo.
I suppose you were a bit disappointed maybe worried by the laziness of the bears during your eight days stay.
Nevertheless you took beautiful pics of both and it seems they were doing well. And that´s the main thing!
Both look really gorgeous. Perhaps they were just relaxed and in an easy-going mood.

My favourite photo is the one with Nora and the reed where she had draped herself so beautifully on the rock.
She looked so cute and plushy that one could have wished to cuddle her… I know that probably would have been a bad idea!

Dear Mervi! Thank you for editing!

  4. Liebe Evi,

ruhende Bären haben eine ganz besonde Ausstrahlung und das zeigen deine
    fabelhaften Fotos in vielen Facetten.

    geliebte Nora nehmen konntest.

Vielen Dank auch für die schönen Videos!
    Liebe Grüße

  5. Wonderful words, dear Britta Gudrun ……
    Thank you SO much!!!

I agree: Nora is a very beautiful Polar Bear
and sometimes it seems, She really knows it Herself, too …..

For NORA I find time …., always!!!

    Have a lovely week ahead!
    Many greetings,

  6. Dear Evi,

What a great pleasure it was for me to publish your article of Nora and Ranzo again!

This time of the year our white fluffy friends aren’t particularly active but just watching beautiful polar bears is worth a visit!

Nora is a very beautiful polar bear lady and Ranzo looks very handsome – in other words they make an adorable couple!

Thank you so much for the photos and the videos! I love them all!

    Hugs from Mervi

  7. Dear Evi

Thank you for the nice report
    and the videos from Vienna.
    Ranzo and Nora look great.

  8. Die beiden sind ein schoenes Paar und sie geniessen die tolle Anlage in Wien. Danke fuer die wunderbaren Bilder!

    Liebe Gruesse, Erika

  9. 10 degrees less than in June after all! 🙂 . . Anyway, I am a bit green with envy. . . Vienna is a beautiful and sympathatic town and such is their ‘TIERGARTEN SCHÖNBRUNN’ and their beautiful and lovely polar bears RANZO and LYNN – of course!

It’s a pleasaure to find your article and picsin ‘KWM’ today, even though the heartfelt encounter is already ‘history’ even for you, dear EVI.

Again you brought gorgeous pics, mainly of your special lovely LYNN but also from RANZO – the first pic after you mentioned him is great!

And I really love the photo where the both are together, nearly nose-to-nose, staring into the water . . 🙂

The last pic of LYNN with the green tree branch and her dreaming beuatiful face is my favorite. Any of the other pics are also beautiful – no question about that, especially the 8 first ones and there the first with the reed.

    Loved the videos as well:
    1) ‘lovely face LYNN’ – however: very determined! (poor RANZO, poor polar bear men 😉 )
    2) Nice to allso see her just looking around sitting in the rocky part of the beatiful enclosure.

  10. N O R A . . . not LYNN – Excuse me, please 😉

  11. Liebe Evi,
