Icy treats for the polar bears in Orsa

It’s been some very hot days in Orsa, too, so the keepers treated Ewa, Wilbär and Hope with yammy ice bombs. I’m not quite sure who’s who but this is what I think …
Ewa
Hope
Wilbär
When the heat is on the early mornings or the late evenings are the best times of the day. Everything looks so peaceful and beautiful.
Maybe this photo gives you an idea of how big one of the polar bears’ enclosures is. However, it’s impossible to catch the ‘whole thing’ in one photo. Ewa, Hope and Wilbär certainly have enough space – and luckily enough space even if there will be baby bear/s!
Like a page in a fairy tale book!
I wonder if the wolverine is waiting for the blue berries …. 🙂 It looks like the harvest will be quite good!
The visitors have contributed with nice insect hotels that can be seen attached on trees in the park. A very good idea!
Even this summer all the bears – both brown and white – have had a chance to catch their fish dinner in the water.
In the video you can see a mama brownie teaching her kids how to catch a fish.
Dear Mervi!
We haven´t heard any news of the animals in Orsa for a long time. Thank you for your update.
The polar bears look gorgeous and they have everything needed to cope with the heat, above all generously dimensioned pools.
The ice bombs must have been highly welcome. What a nice gesture of the keepers.
I wish the wolverine and all the bears whether white or brown as much blue berries as the can eat when the time comes to pick them…
Hugs
Anke
Dear Mervi!
I think the animals in Orsa enjoy the short summer. The polar bears were delighted to get the ice bombes. Hope is a huge bear now 🙂
The lake looks wonderful in summer colors.

Liebe Mervi,
Britta-Gudrun
Schön, mal wieder von den Bären aus
dem hohen Norden etwas zu sehen. 🙂
dear Mervi,
Ewe, Wilbär, Hope and all the other lovely animals are living in a real paradise, I am very glad all have such a good home and dear keepers. Thank you for the great pictures and the video.
dear greetings and good wishes

Oh, yes, one can imagine it easily and gets a longing to go there right away!
(just a bit far away for realization! 😉 )
Fantastic landscape! Lovely polar and other bears and animals!
The brown bear mama’s fish catching demonstration is great!
Which animal do we hear in the background?
Thanks to ORSA PREDATOR CENTER und to you, dear MERVI, of course.
PS:
I wonder weather the beautiful wolverine in ORSA is in some kind of touch with ‘AGENT N° 7 1/2’ in RANUA!
Thanks dear Mervi for showing wonderful pictures from Orsa Predator Center and also thanks to the center. It is a wonderful place.

I was chatting to Hope’s keeper in Marineland Antibes and mentioned Knutis Weekly. I hope he looks in and see these pictures.
