This time of the year the brown bears are planning their hibernation. Polar bears don’t take a Winter nap but even they slow down during the Autumn and the Winter.

Hey, are you still awake? OK, I can understand you want to admire yourself in the water mirror.

I just can’t help it – I look so beautiful in the mirror if I may say so myself ….

If this isn’t a totally relaxed polar bear I don’t know what is! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Dreaming sweet dreams of snow and ice.

Please, don’t take more photos – now we need peace and quiet.

Even a little elephant looks big sometimes!

Oh, I feel rather tired but my bedroom can wait for a while ….

First I must take care of my fur ….

…. and scratching is a perfect way to keep my skin and fur perfect!

The lynx has obviously watched the bears’ cleaning procedure and imitates them. Doesn’t he/she look just like our ‘stuben tigers’? 🙂

The young penguins are satisfied with their looks – and with all reason, too!

What a snack thief!!

You can keep the snacks! I’m going to enjoy a trip to the Napland – please, don’t disturb!

  1. Dear Hans and Mervi
Thank you for this very relaxing visit to Nuenen.
The photo of all four Polar Bears chilling on the same enclosure is
    really lovely.

  2. Completely goregeous photos, dear Hans MUSKENS – you are a ‘Könner’.

Dear MERVI, you made it again possible to get to these beautiful and funny views, even more pepped up by your own funny comments! Thank you so much.

“Maxi and mini” are more than amazing! . . . Is this just a thing of the perspective or is it true that those immensely ‘different in size and weight- animals’ are that close together???

    Britta-Gudrun

  5. Thank you very much dear Mervi and Hans.
Best wishes to Henk, Frimas, Nivi, Elva and the other animals in Nuenen.

  6. Dear Hans and Mervi!
Thank you for the wonderful pictues from Nuenen. The polar bear family looks very relaxed. The brown bears looks round enough for hibernation. The lynx is beautiful.
    Hugs
    Ludmila

  7. Dear Mervi and Hans!
Thank you so much for these relaxing impressions from the animals in Dierenrijk Nuenen.
The gorgeous photos and affectionate subtitles go together well!
I really loved them all but my favourites are the totally relaxed polar bear cub and the little reindeer calf.

It is quite understandable the polar bears admire their reflections on a water surface, since it is for sure a rewarding view and I suppose they are a little vain… 😉

The brown bears are ready for a winter break, the polar bears shift down a gear too and I would love to join them and hibernate for some months till f…… Corona is in the past!

All the best, take care and stay healthy!
    Hugs
    Anke

  8. Dear Hans
Charming pictures of the white beauties.
The mirror images are almost even more beautiful than the originals 🙂
That the elephants are together with I say now times Axishirschen is beautiful. The offspring is also happy about it.
The snack thief looks caught and funny.
I wish the brown bears a good winter rest.
And the cute moose child at the end is too cute.
Thanks for these really nice pictures and snapshots.

    Hugs
    Anita
