As you may remember two polar bear cubs were born in November 2020 in Sarfari-Park Gelendzhik. The parents are mother Serjoska and father Commodore Sedov.

A few days ago the cubs made their first public appearance. Because Serjoska abandoned her babise the cubs are being hand raised so the keepers presented the cubs to the visitors.

The world is so big outside the safe den.

The cubs were not out yet but the visitors could admire the sweeties through a glass window. Mama Serjoska was keeping an eye on her twins all the time.

The cubbies are, of course, cuter than cute.

I’m sure these photos make us think of a certain magic polar bear boy in Berlin ….

  1. Dear Mervi
A sign that Spring is coming soon is the emergence of Polar Bear cubs from their dens.
Thank you for these lovely pictures.

  2. Dear Mervi!
The cubs are very cute. Unfortunately the mother Serjoska was not proud of her twins. She did not accept the cave and gave the birth of the twins outside. She left her babies unharmed. The keepers took the babies and cared about them.

  5. Dear Mervi,
They certainly are adorable. It takes me back to the days when Flocke was that age, and keeping her caretakers busy. I wonder what the parents are thinking as they look through the glass at those little floff balls.

    Thanks for story and photos.

  6. Zuckerschock!

  8. Dear Mervi!
The little ones have developed well and are just sugar!
I wish them all the best.

    Hugs
