I love all bears, but the gentle bears from the war torn country of Syria are among my favourites. I wish more zoos would give them a home. I think Nanook must share my affection.

Polar bear Nord in Tallinn has crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Today we received sad news from the Tallin Zoo. Polar bear Nord had to be euthanized due to a bad wound in his paw. Despite of a long treatment and consulting expert veterians the wound didn’t heal.
