Vorweihnachtliches Mutterglück für Tonja

Bis zu 22 Stunden täglich schlief Tonja in den letzten Wochen. Am Freitag war die angehende Eisbären-Mutter erstmals unruhig, schlief deutlich weniger als die Tage zuvor.

The keeper talk is an opportunity to see the two male Polar Bears really close up. My pictures are taken from the videos I made on my phone, so not of the best quality, but they do allow you to see how impressive, and yet how different, the two boys are.

Kincraig on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-3 October. I travelled up to London on Monday night to catch the overnight bus from Victoria Coach Station. While waiting, I decided to have an evening meal to keep me going through the night.

During my visit to Gelsenkirchen in September, male Polar Bear Bill was on top form. He had learned that the two-legs played a game called “Pool” which involved putting various red balls down holes on a table.

Lara and her cub, Nanook, were not at all on the Tuesday. However, all was not lost, as Bill and Antonia were able to entertain me. I also managed to visit the Asia World.
