One of the great things about the pool at Aalborg Zoo is the opportunity to see the Polar Bears diving. On Thursday they were in the water.

The Autumn has come even to Aalborg and maybe Malik, Nuka and Quilaq are looking forward to the Winter and hoping for lots of snow.

Like Valeska in Zoo am Meer or her mother, Victoria, in Scotland, Malik is a large and very attractive female polar bear. One of the advantages of the absence of grass and mud, is that she and her cubs are usually very clean and fluffy.

My packed tuna sandwiches from England were too much for Nuka to resist. The glass facing the upper part of the lower enclosure has a large shelf where the water flows into the main pool.
