How long does British Airways Bronze last?
You will be bronze for the remaining 6 months plus the whole of the next year. You have the remaining 6 months to earn another 300 TPs and reach silver. In any case, your TPs will be reset to zero at the end of the year
Is British Airways status worth it?
So, is Tier Point running for BA Silver status worth it? – Ultimately, if BA Silver is worth it comes down to a case-by-case basis, as there are a few things to consider. For example, if you only fly once or twice a year, or do most of your flying with to destinations where BA or Oneworld airlines don’t fly, then it’s probably not worthwhile.
- On the other hand, if you fly a mixture of short- and long-haul with British Airways or Oneworld carriers a few times per year and you’re already Bronze status, then it might be worth strategically planning out your travel to bump yourself up to the next level.
- It might mean paying for premium economy for one of your return flights instead of economy.
In total, that might set you back an extra few hundred pounds, but over the course of a year where you would have Silver status, it could be worth the small investment to save you money in the long run and improve your experience. If you’re just a few Tier Points short of status, a small Tier Point run could set you over the edge and be worth it.
Alternatively, if you’re starting from scratch and want to jump right to — or close to — Silver, consider booking a return flight from Scandinavia to Asia, Africa and Australia with Qatar Airways. You could earn, Going on a Tier Point run doesn’t have to break the bank. In 2018, I’d flown quite a lot, but mostly in economy, meaning I hadn’t racked up a ton of Tier Points.
I worked out that all I needed was 160 Tier Points to retain Silver for another year. It just so happened that a return in Club Europe to Malta (MLA) earned exactly that amount, and flights were going for just over £210. Given that I travel with Oneworld carriers quite a bit, it was a no-brainer to do my first ever Tier Point run.
I managed to visit a good friend, get in some sightseeing and kept Silver for another year, so the £210 was amazing value for me. Ultimately, whether or not Tier Point running for Silver status is worth it will depend entirely on your travel patterns and goals. The value of Silver — including when — can be best spelled out by doing some maths.
By adding up what the different benefits will get you in return, you could get you closer to a decision on whether or not a Tier Point run is worth it for you.

Can I pay to go in BA lounge?
British Airways lounge access rules – You can’t pay to access British Airways lounges. You’ll have to rely on your fare class or elite status to get access. Elite status in either the airline’s Executive Club or the Oneworld alliance will work. In general, lounge access is for the following individuals and one guest:
People booked in first or business class on British Airways. Silver and Gold Executive Club members flying on British Airways or a Oneworld partner. Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire elites on flights operated by British Airways or its Oneworld partners.
Is there a dress code for BA lounges?
A smart casual dress code is expected of customers. No sports clothing. Children are welcome in this Lounge accompanied by an adult.
Can a BA Silver Card Holder take a guest into the lounge?

How do you get lifetime silver?
How to get Qantas Lifetime Silver – As you’d expect, earning frequent flyer status for the rest of your life is much harder than earning perks for just 12 months. To reach Qantas Lifetime Silver, you’ll have to notch up 7,000 Qantas Status Credits over the years. 
You can check on your progress towards Lifetime Silver via the, That’s no easy feat. After all, ‘regular’ Qantas Silver is earned with 300 Status Credits and retained with 250 Status Credits. That means Lifetime Silver is akin to earning Qantas Silver once, and then retaining Qantas Silver each year for 27 years beyond.
Just think about that for a moment. Picture earning Silver for the first time by January 2024 and then flying enough to retain it each and every year until 2051. That’s when you’d finally reach the heights of Lifetime Silver! This might sound like a daunting task, but what you’re really aiming for are those 7,000 Qantas Status Credits.
There’s no set requirement to maintain Silver for a certain number of years. We’ve just crunched the numbers to help illustrate the task ahead. Realistically, it doesn’t matter how quickly (or slowly) you earn the necessary Status Credits. You might get there slowly, by taking 700 Economy Red eDeal flights between Sydney and Melbourne (ouch!). 
The journey to Lifetime Silver is much easier on the upper deck. Chances are, you’ll probably earn Status Credits from a mixture of flights. And when it comes to reaching Qantas Lifetime Silver, everything counts.
