It’s me – Gerda – saying ‘hello’ to you! It’s been quite a while since you heard from me and my friends but now we are here again.

Before I continue I’d better eat something – this time we had a yammy fish for dinner.

Kai and I are separated now because I might have something ‘going on’ but that remains to be seen …. I will let you know when and if there will be happy news. 🙂

Oh bear, I sure hope Kai isn’t doing anything stupid now that I’m not with him!

As you know males need supervising! 🙂

I try to locate him ….

…. and now I think I caught sight of him.

The big ball isn’t so interesting now and that only means one thing – he’s eating!! 🙂

Wow! What a big fish but, of course, a big mouth needs a big fish! 🙂

He has laid the dinner table quite nicely don’t you agree?

Kai looks very pleased with his meal.

Gerda, as you can see I’m minding my elegant table manners even when you’re not telling me how to behave!

When the belly is well filled it’s time to start planning other activities.

Rostik is a gorgeous polar bear boy and he’s still staying in Novosibirsk.

So many toys – it’s really difficult to decide ….

Maybe the red ball ….

Playing with the colourful balls is always fun.

Finally I want to show you photos of our brown bears. They are almost as cute as we are ….

This bear looks a bit odd …. I don’t know what kind of bear it is but I’ll try to find out and tell you the news next time!

  1. Dear Anna

Thank you forn the nice report from Novosibirsk. 🙂
The polar bears look great and so do the brownies…
The squirrel is so cute – I also have them in my garden.

    Chris 🙂

MERVI – leider klappt es nicht in der Knuipe.
Habe etwas in der Back-Door gepostet ! 🙂

  2. Dear Anna and Mervi!
Thank you for these fabulous pics from the Novosibirsk Zoo and the humorous subtitles.
Very lifelike… I had a good laugh for example about the third photo with: “I sure hope Kai isn’t doing anything stupid now that I’m not with him! As you know males need supervising! ”
Gerda and Kai look simply gorgeous, well nourished and fluffy.

Rostik is a goodlooking and playful young male.Unfortunately he is still in Novosibirsk and has to live in a cage. I hope they will find a good new home for him soon!

I loved the pics of the charming moon bear and the lovable brown bears.
Hopefully all squirrels will find enough food after this extraordinary summer for their dormancy in winter!

  3. Liebe Anna,

  4. Dear Anna,
thank you for the wonderful pictures. Gerda looks very nice. She is ready for the winter. Kai got many fishes and enjoyed his meal 🙂
    Rostik is a playful boy.
    Dear Mervi,
thank you for the nice story.

  5. Gorgeous pics of lovely animals. Not only the polar bears but also the other ‘treasures’ of ZOO NOVOSIBIRSK are real beauties!

Thank you, dear ANNA and dear MERVI for great pics, nice text and editorial work!

  6. I am really charmed by ‘the so far unknown species of bear’! 😉 . . .
Looking forward to your news in this respect! 🙂

  8. Dear Anna and Mervi
Gerda and Kai really are a beautiful couple of Polar Bears.
I would love to see Rostik come to Doncaster, but I think they are nearly full up.
The brown bears are the emblem of Russia and look splendid

  9. Liebe Anna, liebe Mervi!

Danke für die wunderschönen Bilder, Gerda und Kai sehen super aus und der Braunbaer ist richtig süss. Das Eichkatzerl ist putzig. Der Fisch muss ja lecker sein!

    Liebe Grüße, Erika

  12. Dear Anna, thank you so much for sharing your pics with us. Gerda is looking gorgeous and of course, Kai has not forgotten his table manners. Young Rostik is having problems with his toys, at least with his choice. But the best pic is the last one: what kind of bear is this??? Tail is looking wonderful and I am looking forward to the answer.
