As you may remember two polar bear cubs were born in November 2020 in Safari Park Gelendzhik. The parents are mother Serjoska and father Commodore Sedov. Because the mother bear abandoned her babies they’ve been hand raised by the keepers.

Ermak and Arctic-Aurora have grown a lot and love swimming and diving in their pool.

They are already eating meat, fish and fruit but they’re also fed by milk. In the wild the cubbies drink mama’s milk almost two years. In a zoo the ‘milk aera’ is shorter but the special milk mix still is our baby bears’ favourite food.

On the 3rd of July Ermak and Arctic-Aurora celebrated their 7 month’s birthday.

  1. Die Zwillinge sind entzückend und
    neugierig, wie alle Eisbärenkinder.
Zu zweit spielt es sich doppelt gut.

  2. Thank you very much dear Mervi.
Best wishes to Ermak and Arctic-Aurora.

  3. Dear Mervi
Thank you for the pictures and videos of these
    beautiful cubs from Russia.
I love the dynamic moves and very distinctive noses.

  4. Liebe Mervi,

    Britta-Gudrun

  5. Dear Mervi!
These two are lucky in misfortune that they can grow up as a pair. They are adorable, curious and playful like all little polar bears at that age.
I hope they continue to do well and have a good life!
Thank you for this cute update!

    Hugs
    Anke

  6. Liebe Mervi
