Who doesn’t want some ice on a hot Summer day? At least polar bears love to feel the cold stuff under their paws. In Copenhagen Lynn, Imaq, Nöel and Inuvik were treated with 4 tons of ice donated by a polar bear loving company.

The donated ice blocks are a tradition in the Copenhagen Zoo.

Both the bears and the visitors were delighted by this wonderful surprise.

The best possible enrichment in the Summer time!

The happy family seems to be saying ‘Thanks for the ice! 🙂

  1. Dear Mervi
Thank you for the chance to see all four Polar Bears in Copenhagen Zoo together. Imaq will soon be getting to the
time to leave Lynn. It seems only yesterday that she
was a brave little cub popping up to protect her mum
from all the strange visitors. Or that I was walking the
Zoo with Inge. A world and a pandemic away.

  2. Liebe Mervi,

  3. Dear Mervi!
This is great that the polar bears got so much ice donated. They enjoyed it 🙂
It is good that four bears live peaceful together.

  4. Dear Mervi!
Thank you for these delightful pictures from Copenhagen Zoo!
It’s always wonderful when animals in a zoo are pampered by their fans and keepers and kept busy in an animal-friendly way. It’s great that there is a regular sponsor for the ice blocks in the summer. You can see from the pictures and video how much the bears appreciate the refreshment. Awesome!

  5. Eine nette Überraschung im Sommer. 😀

  6. Dear Mervi

  7. Thank you very much dear Mervi.
Best wishes to Lynn, Noel, Imaq and Inuvik.
