Yorkshire – Yammy food and nice toys for polar bears
Jan 18th, 2022 | By mervi | Category: Yorkshire Wildlife Park18.1.2022 – Photos by Sheila and Philip Baker
Flocke, Indiana, Tala and Yuma are doing fine in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Luckily grandma Flocke doesn’t know that the home of Hope and her two babies is threatened.
It’s such a great pleasure to see the happy polar bears in this park. Let’s hope that the Orsa Predator Center won’t be closed down!
Flocke has found something eatable ….
…. and naturally the kids have smelled it. 🙂
Hmm, that smell needs some investigation! I’m ready for a quality control if it’s food!
One of the cubs is using this tube to see better ….
Tala (?) looking for something eatable and, naturally, a gull is following the procedure. 🙂
The rope doesn’t taste good at all!
Is there something yammy inside?
Maybe there wasn’t food but this thingie is a nice toy anyway.
The Fan Club is following Tala’s efforts. 🙂
What a fine podium to keep an eye on what’s happening in the enclosure!
Sisu sees something interesting …
Oh bear, those birds again!! Who invited them?
Luka having an after-bath
Look, how white and fluffy I am!
Nobby is a cool polar bear who loves to take things easy.
Sisu in the water
What a cute face – and what a wonderfully golden fur!
The canus are favourite toys for all the polar bears in this park and Sisu found a blue canu today.
This canu is too small for a big boy like me! Why don’t they make them bigger?
OK, I can always pretend I’m an undercover agent …. 🙂
Hamish and Nobby
Thank you for watching! We’re singing ‘We’ll meet again’ – maybe not as well as Vera Lynn but certainly much louder!! 🙂
Dear Mervi
Its a pleasure, to watch all the happy polar bears in this park.
If they know, how lucky they are? Lets hope, that we also
can stop the closing of Orsa Predator Center !
I think Yorkshire, Kolind and Orsa are the best
bear parks in Europe – and we need each and
every of them for the future. The new babies
are waiting for homes in two years… 🙂
Thank you dear Philip & Sheila Baker for the beautiful photos !
Greetings
Chris 🙂
Liebe Mervi,
Sheila, Philip,
das Foto mit dem Podium ist grandios!
Dear Sheila, Philip and Mervi!
Thank you for the wonderful pictures. Flocke and her kids enjoy the good enclosure and many toys.
Sisu’s wound has not healed yet .
A canu is a wonderful toy 🙂

Dear Mervi, Sheila and Philip
Thank you for this photostory about the eight Polar Bears in Doncaster.
It is great to see them so happy.
Dear Sheila, Philip and Mervi!
Thank you so much for the wonderful photos of wonderful bears! I enjoyed every single one of them. Flocke and her kids always put on a good show for their fans.
I loved the slightly watered-down view through the tube, for example, or the two bears’ elevated view of the enclosure.
But the young men also made every effort to entertain their visitors: Luka with his glittery water mist around him, later dressed in a gorgeous fluffy winter coat, Nobby demonstrating how a real bear relaxes and Sisu, who always finds the necessary accessories for his water games. I had almost expected him to ride away in the kayak, and then I was a little disappointed… 😉
Hugs
Anke
Thank you very much dear Mervi, Sheila and Philip.
Best wishes to Flocke, Tala, Yuma, Indiana, Hamish, Nobby, Luka and Sisu.
Danke für die bezaubernden und lustigen Bilder und Geschichten. Schön dass es den Bärchen gut geht.
Liebe Grüße,Erika
Dear Sheila and Philip
It is simply fun to look at your wonderful pictures and to read the funny subtitles.
It’s nice that everyone is doing well. By the way, they all look good too.
I think it’s a lot of fun to visit the bears at the moment. I’m a bit envious.
But I have your enchanting reports.
Thank you very much.
Also to Mervi for her work.
Hugs,
Anita
