Sunshine and rain in Dierenrijk Nuenen

The warm sunshine and well needed rain showers have made the nature wake up from it’s ‘Winter nap’. The animals in Nuenen are welcoming the warm season.
Miss Sunshine gives the cheetahs’ fur a beautiful glow.
Arctic foxes are slipping into their Summer furs. 🙂
My friend likes to take a nap in the grass ….
…. but I managed to wake him up. Come on, it’s play time!
One of the cats’ favourite activities is sleeping and this lynx is no exception. 🙂
Muntjak with two heads …..???
As far as I know the brown bears haven’t been hibernating. They’ve been just taking things easily during the Winter season.
These two look rather tired …
… but some gymnastical excercises made them awake and alert again.
Some yoga and meditation
Oh bear, it’s raining!
Where did the visitors go? Are they afraid of small rain drops? Very strange!!
Elva is a big girl now but she still lives with her mama Frimas.
Maybe she will soon move to a new home but it’s very difficult to find a suitable zoo.
Frimas and Elva ‘on the sunny side of the street’.
They look like twins now.
I hope Wilbär isn’t loosing his patience waiting to shake paws with Frimas. Well, maybe something else made him show the tongue. 🙂
The typical polar bear pose
Wilbär really is a gorgeous polar bear guy. I’m sure you all agree!
Thank you very much dear Mervi and Hans.
Best wishes to WIlbaer, Frimas, Elva and the other animals in Nuenen.
So beautiful photos of all these lovely animals,.thank you so much!
Hugs, Erika
Dear Hans!
What beautiful pictures from this great zoo in the south of the Netherlands! Thank you very much! You show us some animals that I sorely miss in Berlin Zoo: Arctic foxes, muntjaks and of course especially the adorable brown bears, which were absolute public favourites, especially in Berlin, which has the bear in its city emblem and where bear trophies are awarded as prizes at the film festival “Berlinale”. I am quite envious…
I hope that Wilbär and Frimas get along with each other and have a similarly harmonious relationship as Frimas and Henk before.
I wish Elva a good new home, a happy future and a long and healthy polar bear life.
Hugs
Anke
Dear Hans,
I am always happy to see new pictures from you and from Nuenen.
All the animals look very relaxed. Even the bears look peaceful and calm.
Thank you.
Hugs,
Anita
Dear Mervi and Hans
I would love to have visited Nuenen when I was still able to travel.
I am so grateful for your report. Wilbaer will be glad to meet Frimas I am sure.
