16.10.2019 – Photos by Marko Junttila
Terve! Hello! It’s been quite a while since my last newsletter – simply because I haven’t got so much to tell you. Just like my big brother Ranzo I’m taking things very easy these days.
I’m waiting for the snow and the first snow did actually fall here in Ranua but it melted away very rapidly. Where did it go? Can you help me to solve this mystery?
I’m dreaming of a Winter with lots and lots of snow. While I’m dreaming I let some of my friends send their October greetings to you.
Isn’t this swan a lovely birdie!
Manu (yes, it’s this manul’s name 🙂 ) says ‘my home is my castle’.
The wolf couple Ruska and Routa seem to be deeply in love. They’re not April fools but October fools …. 🙂
Marko always takes fantastic photos of us and this fox must be very pleased with this photo!
The Siberian deer is beautiful as always.
The utters are very funny rascals and they can look very cute, too.
The falling leaves are quite nice companions during a swimming tour.
A yellow leaf can serve as a head decoration, too! 🙂
A totally relaxed Harri or Olli. I’m not sure which one this is ….
Our beavers are working hard preparing themselves for the Winter so a substantial meal now and then is really needed!
Maybe the reindeers are waiting for a call from Santa?
Even Jemma is waiting for the snow ….
… she hopes it will fall before she retires to her den for the Winter nap.
Oh bear, how long do I have to wait? No snow in sight yet!
Well, the colours of Ruska are very beautiful so Jemma enjoys them while waiting.
Agent 007½ – my wolverine friend – isn’t very succesful trying to make himself invisible ….. 🙂
I’ll be back when the snow falls ….
…. but now I’m just relaxing in our colourful enclosure! Have a wonderful October, dear readers!
